Are you looking to use your mechanical, carpentry, and plumbing skills? Do you love a good demolition project? Yes? Then our ReStore Deconstruction Volunteer opportunity is for you!
Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area is currently recruiting volunteers for our ReStore Deconstruction team. A ReStore is a retail store concept that sells new and gently used donated home furnishings and renovation materials at 50-80% off the original retail price. ReStore proceeds support Habitat’s mission of helping working, low income families build a brighter future through affordable homeownership.
To stock our ReStores we rely heavily on the generous donations of materials from individual donors. Our ReStore Deconstruction team travels throughout the GTA to remove and disassemble home furnishings such as kitchens, bathrooms, doors etc. so they can be sold in our ReStores.
