POSITION TITLE: Corporate Gift-In-Kind Coordinator                  

STATUS AND HOURS: Permanent, Full Time – Standard hours with occasional evenings and weekends as required

LOCATION: Brampton Office (268 Rutherford Rd South)

REPORTS TO: Vice President, ReStores




Habitat for Humanity GTA is looking for a charismatic and results-driven individual to join our ReStore team. As the Corporate Gift-In-Kind Coordinator, you will assist in the initiation and maintenance of GIK partnerships, as well as with the buildout of the Corporate GIK program. Reporting to the Vice President, ReStores, the Corporate GIK Coordinator plays a key role in the sourcing and coordinating of product donations from corporate partners and donors to sell at our 10 ReStore locations across the GTA. With this said, the successful candidate will be out on the road actively meeting partners and potential donors, building relationships and representing Habitat GTA. They will also be responsible for providing exceptional service and support, and will work closely with the Procurement team to provide logistical support and coordinate the flow of product donations.

About the Organization:


Habitat for Humanity GTA is a non-profit housing organization working with communities to build homes for working, low-income families in need of safe, decent, affordable housing. By offering zero down payment, no-interest mortgages capped at 30 percent of a family’s income, Habitat for Humanity GTA offers families a hand up, empowering them to achieve stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership, so that they can build a better life/a path out of poverty. With the support of donors and volunteers, we build homes in Brampton, Caledon, Toronto, and York Region, serving two-thirds of the GTA.


Since 1988, Habitat GTA has built more than 300 homes in partnership with families. Habitat GTA is one of more than 1,400 Habitat for Humanity affiliates worldwide sharing a common vision and purpose. Habitat for Humanity GTA also operates 10 Habitat ReStore home improvement retail stores across the GTA, which sell donated, new and gently-used home furnishing and renovation materials at a fraction of the original price. ReStore proceeds directly support building Habitat homes. ReStore also helps the environment, by diverting thousands of tons of household materials from landfill.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Works with the Corporate GIK team to ensure that all procurement needs of the ReStore program are met
  • Contribute to prospect identification initiatives and developing a gifts pipeline
  • Identify potential corporate donors and ensuring initial contact procedures are met
  • Track corporate donors relationships, and ensure follow up deadlines are met
  • Manage the data entry and maintenance of corporate donors, using Raisers Edge software, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Establish and support the development and implementation of the procurement program and strategies to secure gift-in-kind donations
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Corporate Donor Stewardship program for retaining and reactivating annual donors
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure flow of product to ReStores
  • Act as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity GTA
  • Complete reports weekly, biweekly and monthly, or as necessary
  • Ensuring donors experience excellent service and delivery in accordance to Habitat GTA quality standards
  • Demonstrate exceptional and considerate service to our constituents
  • Attend informational and networking events as needed
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel within GTA area, as required




  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • 2+ fundraising, sales or business development experience
  • 1+ years of renovation and/or home furnishing experience (preferred)
  • Experience using Raiser’s Edge Software and/or SalesForce
  • Technical skills, including computer, excel, word and outlook proficiency
  • Outgoing, professional demeanor with an ability to build and manage individual and corporate relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire trust and confidence in donors and corporate partners
  • Strong and focused work ethic
  • Excellent organizational, research, and time management skills
  • Detailed oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Fluency in English essential
  • Proven ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Valid G Class License and willingness to travel
