A Day on the Build Site

Your build day will include a pizza lunch and snacks, a t-shirt for each team member, and instructions on each task assigned for the day.

A typical build day is structured as follows:

 8:00 a.m.

The entire group arrives, submits completed waivers and signs in with the Volunteer Coordinator. Each group member will then be given safety gear which we will lend out for the day (ie. hard hats, steel toe boots, safety goggles if needed) Coffee will also be available at this time.

8:30 a.m.

The Volunteer Coordinator will then give the build site safety speech and lead the group in the Habitat Cheer. It is mandatory that all group members are in their safety gear and present at the time of the safety speech in order to build.

9:45 a.m.

The group will be broken up into smaller teams (as we will not know the build schedule in advance, we are not able to predetermine the number of team members within each team.)

The teams will be brought onto the build site and will be taught the skills they will need for the day by their Crew Leader. The Crew Leader will show the team how to perform the task and will stay with the team throughout the day as they perform the task.

There will be an unscheduled morning break
