Benefit Cosmetics’ Bold is Beautiful Campaign backs Women Build 2016

In May 2015 Benefit Cosmetics launched their Bold is Beautiful Campaign, which takes the proceeds from their brow bars during the month of May and directs them to select charities around the world.  The campaign has been so successful – raising more than $6 million since it began – this year, Benefit increased its support of Habitat GTA’s Women Build to become the event’s 2016 Presenting Sponsor.

Deny DiFelice, General Manager of Benefit Cosmetics Canada, shared her motivation for choosing Women Build for the company’s Bold is Beautiful Campaign:

“The Bold is Beautiful campaign is all about empowering Women and Girls to have big dreams and bold moves. Benefit chose Habitat Women Build as their 2016 partner as we believe breaking the cycle of poverty and giving Women a chance to provide a stable living environment for their families is something that every Woman should have the ability to do. The secondary benefit to our entire team is the empowerment of local teams to be able to join a build site and push themselves to achieve skills that they maybe thought were not within their capabilities. I joined a Women Build in 2015, and learned how to swing hammer properly, build scaffolding, and put siding up on a home all with the help of my teammates, talk about amazing team building!

Benefit Cosmetics Canada is looking forward to this September where we will have 70 volunteers join in to help make a family’s dream come true! Thank you for this amazing opportunity, we hope to stay partners for years to come.”
