Benefit Cosmetics Canada gives 100% for Habitat for Humanity GTA’s Women Build

Benefit Women Build 2019

There are many unique ways people raise money and awareness for charities that are near and dear to their hearts. For example, the Ice Bucket Challenge in support of ALS. Or Movember where men grow out mustaches to raise funds and draw attention to men’s health issues. But have you ever heard about waxing eyebrows for charity?

In May 2017, Benefit Cosmetics Canada did 8,423 brow waxes in support of causes that promote female empowerment. That amounted to one brow wax every two minutes!

And it’s all for their Bold is Beautiful campaign. Throughout the month of May, Benefit Cosmetics Canada donates 100 per cent of proceeds from their BrowBars to select charities that support women and girls. A portion of the funds go to support Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build.

Benefit Women Build 2019
Since 2016, Benefit Cosmetics Canada’s Bold is Beautiful campaigns have collectively raised over $180,000 for Women Build in the GTA. As the Presenting Sponsor, 128 of their employees have volunteered time to build Habitat homes during Women Build.

This year, Benefit Cosmetics Canada’s campaign theme is #boldisbeautiful. We’re looking forward to having over 50 Benefit Cosmetics Canada volunteers give it their all at our 10th annual Women Build.

You can help too! Support the Bold is Beautiful campaign by joining us at Benefit Cosmetics Toronto boutique for their National Brow Day on May 16 at 2614 Yonge St. It’s your opportunity to get your brows waxed and make a difference at the same time.
