July 3, 2019

Drywall is almost complete for the first 8 units and laminate flooring is going down. Insulation will begin on the 12 unit half next week. Brick on the exterior is also complete.

  • June 5, 2019

    Drywall is starting on the east half of 8 units. Interior framing is being finished on the west half. The brick is almost complete, and we're currently working on the balconies & decks of the remaining units!

  • May 9, 2019

    Brick in being installed. Volunteers are working on interior framing with insulation on the east end. Women Build is currently on!

  • March 29, 2019

    Roof over 8 units are shingled, and work is continuing on the inside to frame the interior walls. Exterior framing continuing on 12 units to prepare for roof to go on.

  • February 20, 2019

    The roof is currently being installed on the east half of the building with framing continuing on the west half. Street lighting is also installed around the parking areas for Block A and B!

    The third-floor framing is almost completed and ready for the roof truss installation.

what we’re building

We are building three, three-storey buildings for a total of 50 stacked townhomes. This final phase of the project will conclude our largest build yet. We’re excited to be building homes in east Scarborough for 20 more families in this final phase of a three year, three phase, 50 home project – our biggest yet! Come out and volunteer on this build soon! The Site has been approved and permitted for a 50-unit townhouse development:
  • We will be building three, three-storey stacked townhouse buildings with a total of 50 ownership units.
  • There will be 80 new trees and hundreds of additional shrubs and perennials planted throughout the site. A common outdoor amenity space will be located within the eastern portion of the site and each unit will have a modest private outdoor amenity area.
  • We will be minimizing the noise and light from vehicle movements with an interior private driveway.
  • A total of 70 parking spaces will be provided - 42 spaces are located at grade at the north end of the property and 28 are provided in an underground garage beneath Phase 3.
