Build a Bedroom

At Habitat for Humanity GTA, we build quality, safe homes that working families can afford. With each Habitat home, we see the joy it brings to kids who get a new bedroom. More than just a nursery or playroom, for children, their bedroom is safety, security and an extension of themselves.

When Raegen and Ella found out they were going to be moving into a new Habitat home, they were happy to learn they would have a room right beside mom. They also talked about decorating with their art and posters, bringing their favorite dolls and painting the walls pink.

It’s the kind of joy we can all relate to. Many of us remember what it was like to have a room of our own as children. A space of wonder and adventure, where we form our imagination and so much more. At this time of year when it’s so important to give back, we want to give that feeling to more kids.
