All the Huang family ever wanted was a nice, quiet place to live – a place they can invite friends and have little after-school parties for their seven-year-old daughter, Amelia. But sadly, their experience in Toronto has been traumatic at times.

Struggling against the rising house pricing in the GTA, Jason, Lisa and Amelia moved three times over the years and have never felt comfortable in their own home. Bed bugs, cockroaches, shouting and yelling in the hallways of their building, nearby drug activity are all a part of their lives.

But thanks to the support of Habitat for Humanity GTA and our generous donors, the Huang family is ready for a fresh start, as they look forward to moving into their own, brand-new condominium downtown.
