Volunteer Today

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area. You can join us as a volunteer on our build sites, ReStores, deconstruction projects, events, and through our ReStore mentorship program. Volunteering is a meaningful and fulfilling activity that can help you build new skills, meet people from your community, and play a key role in addressing the challenge of our time: the housing affordability crisis. Everything we do helps to build affordable homes for working families, helping to create more inclusive and equitable communities throughout the GTA.

Stepping into volunteering with Habitat GTA is easy:

  • Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours in duration and are available 7-days a week, from build sites to ReStores and Central Distribution Centre
  • No prior skills or experience required in many roles
  • Training is provided on site, along with all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment for your role
  • If you are 16 years of age or older, you can start volunteering (it’s a great way to get community hours for high school)
