International Women’s Day 2021

Working, single-mothers experience a unique set of day-to-day challenges. Factor in having a child with a disability, being a visible minority, an immigrant, or Indigenous, along with being a woman, and the lived experience gets even more complicated. These women have an increased likelihood of needing social supports like housing, especially during the pandemic.

On International Women’s Day 2021, we want to celebrate the hardworking, resilient women-led households in our communities, and the thousands of single-mother partner families across the country who chose to challenge themselves to become Habitat homeowners. Today is a celebration of YOU!
