A Habitat GTA volunteer story: 30 for 30 Challenge

Raising $2000 with Habitat for Humanity

There is no shortage of creative ways to support charities we are passionate about. We have all heard of bake sales, clothing drives and birthday fundraisers.  But have you ever heard of jumping rope for 30 minutes a day for 30 days to raise funds and awareness?

Jia Kim, a volunteer Crew Leader, designed her 30 for 30 Challenge to do just that for Habitat for Humanity GTA.

As a volunteer, I wish to create awareness for what Habitat for Humanity GTA does. My plan starting November 1st 2020 was to jump rope every day for the next thirty days and post on social media and collect donations, build awareness and create conversations about the work the organization does for our communities.

We are so proud of the creativity community members and volunteers like Jia demonstrate in support of Habitat for Humanity and for building a better GTA for everyone.
